About the Information Technology Director

The position of IT Director was originally a voluntary position created by Administrator Stephen Maguschak in 2013. The position was established to provide web site maintenance and e-collaboration services to the Village.  In 2018, Administrator Robert Smith turned the position into a part-time, paid position. The role of Information Technology Director is an extension of the Village Administrator's office under jurisdiction of Administrator Corrigan. 

Since the position was created, Mikeal Maguschak has served the Village of Mingo Junction as IT Director. Mikeal oversees the maintenance of the village website, Oakland Cemetery database, Interserver and Yandex village email systems, and is an administrator to the village's social media platforms.  Mikeal serves as a remote on-call specialist providing support to village employees. Mikeal is no stranger to municipal information technology as he is also IT Director for the City of Wellsburg, WV and is an active member of the City of Weirton Website Administration Team and provides technical support in collaboration with the City of Weirton IT Analyst.
